My Project

I am a new K-5th Resource Teacher, servicing students with various disabilities. This year, like many others, my students have been struggling with emotion regulation.

I know the importance of social-emotional learning and want to create a safe space for my students to calm down and take a break.

I have always wanted to create a calm environment for the students. All resources were chosen to allow students to have choices in the way that they choose to take their calm-down break. I hope that the books, puzzles, feeling charts and bean bag chairs and other materials requested for them will allow them to learn how to be mentally and emotionally healthy.
