My Project

I teach a wonderful, diverse group of four and five-year old students. Some of my students have special needs, some are in a new country and learning a new language, and for many of my students, this is their first time away from their family and socializing with so many other children their own age. This can lead to many big emotions and, sometimes, a sense of feeling overwhelmed. I will use these materials to set up a comfy, cozy area where they can go to help calm those big feelings. This area will have a listening center to hear stories, fidget toys to help with anxiety, and there will also be baby dolls and stuffed animals with which to cuddle.
