My Project

This school year, the Transitional Kindergartners who entered our classrooms are much younger than students in previous years. That, coupled with the many social-emotional effects of the pandemic, my students are in need of a calming area they can go to whenever they get overwhelmed.

My project aims to provide my young students a calming safe space equipped with comfortable seating, relaxation visuals, sensory materials, soothing tactile items and books on social-emotional learning.

This area will facilitate students in regaining their emotional composure so they can come back to our general learning area and engage positively in our learning activities.
