My Project

Help me give my class a soothing and calming area for the students to self-regulate and reflect on their emotions. This year my students have been learning different strategies to practice when different emotions and feelings appear in their everyday life, especially during school hours. Students need a quiet comfortable area to relax and express their feelings the proper way. We already have an area aside in the class room that the students have labeled "Personal Space." Students know that they can take time for personal space as needed, but would like more materials in order to help them through their experiences there.

Please give my students the tools they need to feel comfortable expressing their emotional needs.

The requested carts will be organized with materials, such as books, cards, writing/ drawing supplies, calming strips, pillows, and more in order to provide the students with opportunity to personalize their time.

With a clear head, a healthy state of emotions, and growth mindset, the students will be ready to focus on their studies. This personal space will allow students to self-regulate their emotions and de-escalate their tensions so they can return to their seats and be able to focus in the learning environment.
