This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help me create a calming area for my wonderful second grade students. I will provide a safe place in my classroom where my students can go when they are feeling anxious or sad. This safe place will have many items that will help them reset and be ready to go back to learning. This will truly help many them who need some alone time, to reflect and relax while using calming tools to recharge and feel better.

The items I am requesting are tools that will help them self-regulate their emotions.

I want them to focus and learn, but that cannot happen if they are worried.
