Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

There has been an increase in the number of my students who are having challenging emotions and are facing difficult times, this has created a need for a safe space in which they can cope in healthy ways. My students are learning how to cope, reduce anxiety, and manage their emotions. A calming area will provide the safe space for my students to practice these skills. In this safe and comfortable space my students will be able to journal, read positive affirmations (cards), listen to music (headphones), draw, or just take a breath (meditation cards or fidgets).
