My Project

Learning to read can be stressful and frustrating especially for my students who are still working to master these skills! It takes a lot of attention and focus to overcome reading challenges. The students I work with are hard working and determined but sometimes their emotions get the best of them and they need a quiet place in my Reading Room to self regulate when they are stressed.

A calming area can help students process emotions in a safe and comforting environment.

Students will learn to self regulate and deescalate their feelings when they are having a tough time and then they can return to learning.
