Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me create a calm area where my students can self-regulate and self-soothe in a quiet place where they have a comfortable space to sit, calm down their bodies, take time, and process their big feelings. My students are learning about themselves and their emotions. Learning to self-regulate is essential to social-emotional learning, and this space communicates the expectations within the classroom to self-regulate and rejoin the group in healthy ways. My students will learn to build community within the classroom and to respect and honor one another's emotions and feelings.
