Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Tk students are eager learners and at times can have big emotions at school. A calming corner will be beneficial in my classroom to allow my students the opportunity to focus on those feelings and decompress for a minute.

Through the usage of flexible seating like a kid couch and comfy throw pillows my students can have a cozy corner in our classroom where they can relax and have access to a number of materials or printed resources to use to calm down if needed.

Access to a color printer can help me print out a number of calming posters to help my student visualize a number of calming strategies they can reference when they are trying to manage their feelings.
