Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I will use comfortable seating and multi-sensory objects to provide a calming area for students whenever they need a break. There are times when students may become overwhelmed for a variety of reasons. It might be a disagreement with a classmate, or perhaps frustration from the task at hand. It is helpful to provide students with a calming area to regroup their thoughts. They may need some time to process their feelings first, before they can return to the task at hand.

This comfortable seating and multi-sensory objects will provide students with an opportunity to regroup and redirect back to learning.
