This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

All of my students have special needs.

They are in an inclusive classroom 100% of the time, growing, and thriving each day. My students have challenges when it comes to communication, which can lead to frustration. With that frustration comes big emotions and having a calming area for them to utilize is imperative to their social emotional growth. These donations will help to design a much needed area in my classroom where my students will feel safe. From hugging the stuffed animal, to taking time for themselves in the tent, listening to the calming music, or squeezing the stress balls, all of it will be an asset in helping them regain their emotional and physical control.
