Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that each of the students I work with come from unique backgrounds, have different strengths, and learn to express themselves in different ways.

I will use these materials to create calming areas where student can come to regulate themselves, find calmness, and reflect on their emotions.

All of these items will help create different calming environments, such as the quiet tent area or comfortable bean bag seating, that will allow students to practice coping skills and mindfulness. Every student responds differently to sensory objects and coping styles, so having a variety of choices will be beneficial to accommodate all students.
