This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The calming area in my office will assist students to learn how to regulate their emotions in a safe and brave space. Our students here at my high school have various stressors in their lives and giving them the space to de-escalate, breathe, and relax will allow them to be their best selves. Our students here are passionate, resilient, and determined to reach their goals, dreams, and aspirations. I am proud to work with our future generation.

With a calming area, I can also provide students with a nurturing environment that promotes socio-emotional well-being and academic achievements.
