Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are the future. They thrive to make a difference. Students should have the appropriate tools to help them navigate through life challenges. Challenges that affect their social and emotional well-being. I support students by fostering resiliency, promoting healthy relationships, self-reflection, and problem-solving skills to optimize school success. I provide students with a safe space to feel, and share and the tools needed to regulate their emotions.

A Calming Area would be beneficial for students to learn self-management skills.

This area will include items such as a bean bag chair, calming toys, relaxation tools, meditation cards, social-emotional learning books, and other mindfulness tools.

You can also make an impact on my student’s mental health.

By providing them with the appropriate tools, they can then succeed in overcoming the barriers to their academic success. Students will gain knowledge to be empowered. They will be taught skills and, with your help, provided with tools they can utilize to self-regulate when faced with uncomfortable emotions brought by challenges.
