Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Sometimes, our students need to be given the time to reflect on their emotions. Helping our students build the skills they need to de-escalate is a way to create healthy mind-habits.

Items used in the calming area are geared to support students self-regulate and manage their feelings in an effective manner.

Providing a space that is fully equipped with such items will not only assist with at the moment needs, but will also teach them how to develop a growth mindset independently.

Having access to a calming area will motivate our students to manage their feelings effectively.
