Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The tools and materials that I am requesting are to help create a safe and calm space to help students work through difficult feelings and emotions.

Students often experience difficulties focusing or exhibit disruptive behaviors that can impact their learning due to trauma, environmental stressors, and other social emotional barriers.

The calming area will allow students to address and process difficult feelings and emotions to ensure they are ready to learn. Students will also learn how to utilize healthy coping skills and tools to work through their difficult feelings in a healthy manner.
