My Project

The Primary Promise Math Lab is a child-centered classroom for budding K-3 mathematicians to solidify their foundational math skills and gain confidence in their problem solving strategies!

It is always so rewarding to see their faces light up when they realize that they were able to solve a math task after sticking with it and working through the problem with their growth mindset, instead of giving up!

Sometimes, they slip into their old fixed mindset thinking that something is too hard or that they can't solve it... I would love to provide students with a calming corner with a flex space round floor table, wobble cushions, area rug and more to reset their growth mindset! Setting up this calming corner will help be a comforting place for their math anxiety to de-escalate as they take a some mindful minutes to reset their growth mindset & embrace the power of YET, ready to come back to the math tasks, ready to embrace the productive struggle!
