My Project

My 1st and 2nd graders are an energetic bunch of very loving and deserving children.

Everything in this project will be used to build a calm corner that will help my students manage their emotions, resolve conflict, and work together as a community.

The materials, such as sensory toys, plushies, building blocks, lights, comfy seating, pillows crafts, and books about emotions will support them in taking care of their mental health, which we know is a necessary precursor to their ability to learn.

The beautiful individuals in my class need to feel safe and cared for as children before they can focus and learn as students. I am so excited for my students to have a space completely dedicated to their well-being.
