I work in a preschool special education program with students at all levels. Some of my students are very verbal and need minimal assistance to identify and label their feelings then learn to make good choices. Some of my students need more visuals and hands on manipulatives to help them learn how to self soothe after having a difficult time at school.
Help me give my students an area that will help them calm down that they want to visit, use, engage and which will help them succeed with self-regulation.
If my students have an area that is soothing, comfortable, and full of all the tools they need to learn about their emotions and making better choices then they will have the skills they need to succeed in school and in life.
