My Project

Students are having to face a mounting number of stresses both in and out of school. Having a calming are in my classroom will give students a place to unwind, practice mindfulness, have a conversation or simply escape into a book. Whether playing relaxing music with the speakers or relaxing in the comfy chairs, students will have a greater sense of safety and belonging.

Having comfortable furniture and a rug makes a classroom inviting and helps to lower anxiety levels.

Students will know that they are invited to be themselves and refocus their energies on growing rather than on perfection.
