My Project

I was fortunate to receive training by an amazing company called Neuro Logic. It was the most beneficial training of my entire career. They taught me so many strategies I didn't know prior and I am now able to implement those strategies to help not only the students in my own classroom, but students throughout my school.

These yoga chairs have a HUGE impact in our classroom!

My Neuro Logic mentor would come in once a week to observe the class and then we would discuss student behaviors, where students were operating from in their brains and how to use that knowledge to give students what they need. She taught me that my highest energy students would benefit from "bounce breaks" on these yoga chairs.

When I notice some students energy levels are going up, I send them to a yoga chair for a "bounce break" on one of our yoga chairs. It helps them recalibrate themselves. They stayed focused on our lesson from the yoga chair and when they are ready, they return to the group. Students in our class are able to use the yoga chair as a flexible seating option and many of them find it easier to stay on task while gently bouncing up and down. Students in other grades that I mentor come in and use the yoga chairs to calm down as well.

These yoga chairs have greatly impacted our classroom environment in many ways. They are one of our most popular flexible seating choices. We are currently down to just one yoga chair in our classroom so these new yoga chairs will give more students the opportunity to use them daily. Thank you so much for considering our project which will help students calm their bodies and focus their minds. We appreciate you!
