This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are some of the most resilient children in the state. They strive to overcome food insecurities, inconsistent adults in their life and learning to navigate other challenges in this world.

These Title One students I work with strive for excellence in all areas of their life.

Although they strive for excellence, the rest of the world is against them. They have a lot of wiggles and need structure and choice in their life to give them the life skills to succeed. Giving my students flexible seating options in our classroom, would help them learn about their own learning styles and help them take ownership of their own learning.
