Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students because they are all unique in their abilities, and the sky is the limit with their growth potential. I want to give them the tools they need to reach their full potential while having fun along the way.

I will use the sensory motor equipment to help my students with attention and impulse control during desktop tasks.

This will allow them to spend more of their brain power focusing on their motor and handwriting skills. I will also use the adapted paper, pencil grips, and adapted pencils to make their writing tasks more successful with less strain on their developing bodies.

Finally, I will use the sensorimotor chew tools as a tool to help students with increased anxiety or sensory modulation challenges focus during table top tasks. This will provide them with a safe alternative to bite and chew on versus their pencils, body, and clothing.
