Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students thrive and feel connected in a calm environment. Having calming colors throughout the classroom will help the students feel like they are safe. When students feel safe, they will be able to be much more engaged and ready to learn.
The items in this Donor's Choose project include wicker baskets that will make the classroom feel warm and inviting.
The wicker baskets will be used to store student materials and workbooks. The pastel fabric bins offer a calm touch of fun while serving an important purpose in storing student manipulatives that they will use daily.
One of the rugs in this project will serve a library area to make it warm and inviting. The other rug will serve our sensory area to make it calm and welcoming.
