Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having a calm corner that feels nice and calm will help my students regulate their emotions. A nice rug, canopy, posters and plushies will engage their senses. The different Little Spot stories will help them understand the feelings and emotions that they are experiencing. All this will help.my students focus on learning while they are at school. It will help with their social emotional learning.

A student who is calm and focused will be engaged in their learning.

This will help each student individually and the classroom as a whole.

We will focus on teaching students each emotion and feeling with the Little Spot stories. These books will then become part of the calm corner. There they will have access to the posters and plushies that correspond to each emotion and feeling.
