Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of our students have difficulty balancing life at home and at school. They can be easily overwhelmed and as an elementary school student, it is hard to learn to manage those intense emotions.

We hope to teach students at our school calming strategies to help them process their emotions, focus, and make decisions that benefit them.

This project will help us to do that by giving students some tools they can use to help them calm their bodies and their minds to focus in on what is really bothering them. The hope is that they can then voice their concerns, talk with a trusted adult, and then move forward together!
