This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

An increasing number of students are struggling to focus in class and regulate their emotions, which can negatively impact their learning. Crystal singing bowls will provide my students with a powerful tool for mindfulness and emotional regulation. Their calming vibrations and soothing sounds create a peaceful environment where students can practice deep breathing, improve focus, and develop self-awareness. This will help them manage stress, build emotional resilience, and cultivate a positive mindset—skills that support both their academic success and overall well-being.

We will use these singing bowls to lead both group and one-on-one guided meditation sessions, where students will engage in deep breathing, mindful listening, and self-reflection.

Guided prompts will encourage them to visualize a place of peace, set positive intentions, or reflect on their emotion. The steady tones of the bowls will help anchor their attention, making it easier to stay present and engaged. By the end of each session, students will feel more grounded, relaxed, and mentally prepared to take on the rest of their day.

My students are resilient and full of potential. They come from diverse backgrounds and face a variety of challenges, yet they show up each day eager to learn and grow. They deserve a space where they feel safe and supported. Providing them with sound bowls will give them an opportunity to develop mindfulness skills that will benefit them not just in school, but throughout their lives.
