Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students need a calm place where they can de-escalate after feeling triggered. They need a safe place to reflect and meditate before returning to class.

Our students go through so much on a daily basis.

We want school to be a place where they can really be their true selves. We want to make a room where these needs can be met. We want twinkle lighting so that they are not overstimulated by the overhead lights. We need soft things, like bean-bag chairs so they can really relax comfortably. We need something for students who are feeling angry to get their aggression out.
