My Project

Please help me add a calming corner to our classroom to help students recognize emotions, feelings and begin to self regulate within the classroom. We have been learning all about feelings & emotions and how to handle both in a number of situations.

By providing a calm, quiet space for students, with stuffed animals and floor seats, we can help them learn to calm down, take a deep breath and use a number of different tools for self regulation.

Our goal is to help students learn how to reflect on their feelings and emotions and then return to the classroom activities with a calm body ready to learn. These skills will help students in a number of situations throughout their school years and beyond.
