This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, creating a supportive environment for mental health is a top priority. I am seeking funding to establish a "calm down corner," a dedicated space where students can go to manage their emotions and find tranquility. This area will be equipped with sensory tools, comfortable seating, and calming resources to help students de-escalate and refocus. By fostering emotional well-being, we can enhance learning outcomes and promote resilience among our students. Your support will empower them to develop crucial coping skills, ensuring they feel safe and supported throughout their educational journey. Thank you for considering this important initiative!
