Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We would appreciate the materials for our calm down corner. Due to the pandemic, students are struggling to manage their emotions and frustrations.

We would really appreciate a kid-friendly bookcase to display our social stories for children who struggle with expressing their emotions, confidence, and frustrations.

The bookcase will provide easy access for children to review social stories to practice coping skills and have access to relatable social stories.

We would also love colorful sensory sand and focus toys as a calm down strategy easily available for children with special needs. The sand will be placed in the calm down corner for any child who could benefit from it.
