My Project

At our school, we are fortunate to have a small but vibrant ASD unit filled with incredible students who bring joy, unique perspectives, and resilience to our school community every day. These students each have their own strengths and talents, but some face sensory challenges that can make it difficult to focus and engage in the classroom.

Our goal with this project is to create a ‘Calm & Cozy Corner’ sensory cuddle box to support our ASD students by giving them a safe, comforting space to relax and reset.

For students with autism, sensory-friendly areas like this are essential in helping them manage emotions, avoid overstimulation, and rejoin class ready to learn.

This sensory cuddle box will be a meaningful addition, allowing us to provide a more inclusive environment where every student feels supported and comfortable. With this project, we can help our students in the ASD unit feel empowered to reach their full potential in a school that embraces all their unique qualities. Thank you for helping us make our school an even more welcoming place for everyone!
