Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A calming area is an important space in our autism-classroom. My students will use this corner as a resource they can go to to help identify and regulate their feelings and find peace.

Please help me give my students a calming area to help regulate and control their emotions.

The decor and furniture will provide a sense of calm, while the books and sensory items are tools that can provide sensory relief when they get overloaded. All these items will help my students feel safe and comfortable and improve their overall ability to access our curriculum.
