Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A calm corner will help my young students to learn self-regulation skills essential to learning in a classroom environment. These tools include sensory mats and tools that stimulate their brain and help their bodies calm down when overly stimulated. I also included seating mats for comfort and visual posters for them to reference while in the calm corner. This will help my students focus better during class time and build social skills that will help them throughout their academic careers. It is never too early for students to learn self-regulating skills!
