My Project

As an elementary school counselor, one of the main things that I teach students is emotion regulation. Every classroom at my school has an established calm corner, but many of them lack supplies for the students to use. These calm corner bins and supplies will give students tools they can use in the calm corner of their classroom such as sand timers and stress balls. The bins will allow for supplies to stay organized and also allow for portability as many of our students take breaks in the hallway. Calm corners create a space for students to identify and reflect on their emotions while having tactile items to help calm them down while they work through their feelings. This will greatly benefit many students each day in every classroom. Sorting through their emotions with these supplies will help them calm down and return to their learning quicker.
