Many of us remember middle school as being some of our toughest years and this is still very much true for students navigating middle school now. I have worked with students and youth with anxiety for over 15 years, and am so excited to get a new space this year! Help me make this space calming, comfortable and stress relieving for my students this year!
I plan on using the alternative seating options, rug and shelving unit to create a calming/work corner complete with fidgets, and tools to relieve stress.
The boho color theme will help with creating that calming atmosphere. The students have also requested a separate space - as we used to have a "zen den" in our old room, so we are hoping to use the room divider to help create that feeling in the new space!
