My Project

Help us give our students a calming space where they can relax, recharge, and refocus. As an ICT, we strive to create a calming, cozy, functional space. Our current carpet is old, dirty and way too stimulating. Our class is filled with students who are working on learning to be independent in finding calming and soothing strategies for when they become overstimulated. Pillows will be used to make the space more cozy and can provide comfort. The boarders will be used to create our "How big is your problem" wall that gives students the opportunity to reflect and figure out how big their problem really is and how easily can it be solved.

Helping us to tone down our classroom will give these students a space to begin learning these strategies and practice using them.

A fresh, calm, cozy environment is just what we need to be ready to start off our new school year!
