My Project

I am requesting window film for the small windows that are inside my classroom. We have the luxury of having three small rooms inside our classroom. These rooms are used for small group instruction and designated break areas for students. Each room has windows that look out into the main classroom, where we work on life skills, academics, yoga, meditation, and other whole group activities.

Window film will help my highly distractible students focus on their small group activities, which are differentiated to their level.

This will increase instructional time by minimizing the time spent redirecting students to their tasks. Blue has been shown to be a calming color, especially for those on the autism spectrum. The window film will also benefit students while in the break spots to have more privacy for self regulation activities.
