My Students

My classroom this year will consist of students who have disabilities. Throughout the school year, my students will need different materials to make their learning fun especially through technology. My students are visual and hands on learners.

They love to learn, and to try hard everyday to be the best they can be.

They are ready to be second and third graders. I cannot wait to see how much progress they will make this school year all thanks to you!

My Project

I would love to add a Calming Corner in my classroom! This space will give my students a safe, soothing place to go when they’re feeling overwhelmed or need help to work through their big emotions! Not only will the Calming Corner provide a variety of objects and activities for students, but it will also help give them a space to regulate themselves before returning to the whole class environment. Students are even given opportunities to choose to use the Calming Corner to resolve conflicts with their peers.

Please help me provide materials to create a quiet and cozy "calming corner" for everyone to feel safe and secure at school while alleviating stress and worry.

The stools will allow them to have alternate seating when needed, the sensory toys, pillows and timers will give them support to regulate their emotions. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to provide visuals for the calming corner.
