Many of our students live in conditions that are difficult and chaotic.
A classroom setting is key to a meaningful learning environment. When they come to school each day it's very important that the classroom is organized, bright, inviting and stocked with materials accessible to them.
Many of my students work on technology based assignments and listen to audio books and headphones will eliminate background noise and provide a quiet working environment. Many of my students would also benefit from flexible seating accessories such as Bouncy Bands which will allow fidgety students to sit at their desk and move the band, relieving anxiety and hyperactivity.
I want my students to wake up each morning excited to go to school because it provides them with a sense of security and a feeling that they have a space to call their own. We all work better when our environment is organized and inviting. Our surroundings can truly affect how we think and feel. My students will benefit greatly from these classroom additions and your donations will be greatly appreciated.
My Project
These items will improve the learning environment for my students. The headphones requested will provide students with the ability to work on devices without noise interference. For example, while taking online assessments, working on digital assignments and listening to audio books. It will eliminate background noise for all students. The Bouncy bands will provide students who need to move around more often than others an alternative way to get out some of that extra energy or anxious feelings, utilizing the bouncy bands attached to their desks. These items will be used for our classroom based activities only.
