My Project

When schools become busy and chaotic, our students need a place to relax and calm down. Foy my students with special needs, that place is our sensory corner. My students love to learn almost as much as they love to play and the sensory corner gives allows them to relax and manage their emotions.

My students need an area to manage their emotions, relax and take a deep breath.

The classroom rug provides flexible seating and an area for the students to use the sensory toys to calm down. The puzzles and stacking blocks are a great tool for students to use to work on fine motor skills. The necklaces provide sensory relief for the students. The fidget toys allow the students to ease their anxiety and reward their great behavior throughout the day. I have seen how beneficial sensory breaks are for the students and am looking forward to giving them an area to relax and regulate their emotions.
