This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 5th and 6th grade students need a self-soothing tool to keep them calm yet aware in the classroom. They will benefit from these Calm Strips because of the soothing effect that will come from rubbing the textured Calm Strip with their fingertips.

These Calm Strips will be attached to their desks or their Chromebooks as a way to help students focus.

The texture and colors will keep them aware and calm. The colored paper will be used to make and print posters with positive messages and affirmations for the classroom.
