My Project

The products I chose will directly help my students to focus. The headphones will help them to engage in their work without outside noise. The snacks are a huge motivation for my learners. Being a Title I school funds are low, and the students do not have access to many treats! Furthermore, the sensory toys will give them a safe space to keep their emotions under control. Additionally, giving these special kids a calming corner to learn how to cope when they are feeling overwhelmed.

A calming corner is a positive place for our autistic learners to calm their bodies and minds, feel the wave of their emotions without pushing them down, and get back to a state of being ready to learn.

My calming corner is a designated space where these special needs learners can learn and practice self-regulation.
