it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This hands-on project which includes Kleenex, a fish tank, filters, and tank set up will provide an amazing opportunity for our students to obtain a better understanding of the environment we live in and how to protect it. The materials will enable students to work cooperatively amongst their classmates while developing language/literacy, math, science, and social/emotional skills.
These pet fish will be the first pets a majority of my kids have ever had.
They will enjoy learning how to care for them while learning about their environmental needs. The students in my classroom thrive on showing compassion. They would love to have a class pet to care for. The students will take turns feeding the fish, observe, compare, write stories, investigate, predict, and work together to name the fish. The Aquarium will provide a calming environment for my classroom and a great habitat for the fish. The rocks and plants will enrich the aquarium for a healthy and happy habitat. The aquarium filters are needed to help our fish thrive. Ultimately, the fish tank set up and Kleenex would bring a sense of calm and caring to our classroom environment to help in my students get regulated.
