My Students

We are kind, Bright, Passionate, Energetic and curious people!

Our classroom is comprised of 8th grade students who hold a multitude of amazing qualities!

We are a tight knit, small school that embraces the idea of project/inquiry based learning infused with embracing the unique qualities each student offers.

Our 8th grade class creates projects based on the innate desire to learn and grow and know more about the various topics that interest them, while addressing the learning standards. We love to engage in field studies that support our learning and appreciate any and all support we can get on our journey. In addition, we also believe that a strong classroom starts with a strong community. We care about how we learn as much as what we learn! We learn and grow through social-emotional learning, growth mindset, academics and community building.

My Project

These materials will give students the opportunity for direct, hands on learning.

Hands on experience will inspire students to do amazing things.

They are scientist who are curious about the cosmos and anatomy. With a solar system model, they can start to construct how our solar system is constructed and how it operates. Today, students do not have the experience of performing dissections and seeing how the bodies of different animals are constructed. They are curious about living organisms, and with these hands on dissection materials, that can explore how the body function works in animals, in a real world context. These experiences will help inspire students to explore future pathways in the science and medical fields

They are scientific engineers, with a passion for art. We will dive deeper in the concepts of force and motion, while engineering and designing kinetic art. In order to achieve this goal, they need access to models to study, and resources that will allow them to design and construct their own. The models inspired by DiVinci's work will allow students to analyze his work, and design their own. With access to a welder and plasma cutter, with supervision, students can learn to work with metal to create their own art and structures.

The best thing we can do for our students is to let them follow their passions, while teaching them the skills they need to know in order to achieve their dreams. With your help, you will make a difference in their lives.
