Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a Staten Island elementary school servicing a multicultural population of students from varying socioeconomic backgrounds. Music and the arts have been a powerful unifier in our school.

My students are eager to participate in the arts, and that is a big focus in our building. Our children demonstrate all kinds of talents beyond their academics, and we try our best to offer as many extracurricular activities as part of a well-rounded education.

My Project

We will be using this storage cabinet to lock up, store, and help organize the materials used in our music classroom. In doing so, it will help keep our expensive music equipment safe, as well as teach our students to value their belongings and take responsibility for them. This lockable storage space is sorely needed as our classroom is in a widely used auditorium.

The storage unit we are asking for will provide a neat and orderly environment which will allow the students to keep their supplies safe, and also give them ready-for-use availability of their materials for music class.
