My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Mathematics is an area of struggle and I am trying to help my students get the best resources as I can.

I am looking to provide each of my students a scientific calculator to use at home during this uncertain time.

My Project

"Calculators are simply a tool students use to help solve problems. Since they eliminate tedious computations and algebraic manipulations that

discourage many students, calculators allow more students to solve problems and appreciate the power and value of mathematics in the world today"

My students really need these to help them through this crazy time during virtual learning.

I want my students to access their learning by having the correct tools. These scientific calculators will make a tremendous impact on my students' learning, self-confidence, engagement, and understanding of mathematics.
