My Students

While we were lucky enough to get graphing calculators from a grant years ago, we have not been able to keep up with the cost of batteries. Many of our calculators sit idle, because of the lack of batteries.

My classes are comprised of young, eager middle school students from the inner city who deserve the same quality of education and educational tools found in suburban schools.

My students need the same opportunities to be able to compete in our ever changing world. My students are bright and enthusiastic . Please give them the opportunity to use a graphing calculator on a regular basis by supplying us with batteries.

My Project

My students will be able to use a graphing calculator on a regular basis in math/algebra class. We have graphing calculators from a grant, but most of the calculators just sit in a box most of the time. We do not have the funding for replacement batteries.

My project gives my students the opportunity to use the graphing calculators on a daily basis in math/algebra class.

Most of my students will be going on to magnet high schools where they will be expected to know how to use the graphing calculator.
