This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our high school students, spanning from 9th to 12th grade, are truly a remarkable group of individuals, each possessing unique talents and boundless potential. However, many of these young minds come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, which presents them with significant challenges in accessing educational resources that are readily available to their more privileged peers. As educators, we are deeply committed to providing them with equal opportunities to excel in their academic pursuits and to support their dreams of a bright future.

The scientific calculators we are seeking for our students hold immense promise to make a substantial difference in their learning journey.

One of our primary goals for this project is to ensure that every single student has an equal chance to succeed academically, unburdened by financial constraints that might otherwise hinder their educational progress. By providing each student with their scientific calculator, we aim to level the playing field and eliminate the disparities that can arise due to economic disparities. We firmly believe that every young mind should have the opportunity to flourish and fulfill their potential, regardless of their economic circumstances.

Moreover, these scientific calculators will play a pivotal role in helping our students during crucial test events, such as the SAT. Standardized tests like these often permit the use of scientific calculators, and by ensuring that our students have access to these essential tools, we boost their confidence and performance during these exams. By achieving higher scores, our students will open doors to more opportunities for college admissions and scholarships, helping them pave the way for a brighter future.

By fulfilling the goals of this project and providing our students with these scientific calculators, we strive to empower these exceptional young minds to reach their full potential as future scientists, mathematicians, and leaders. We firmly believe that
