Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school's initiative for Mother's day is teaching the children to give back to their local community. The supplies from this project will be used to set up a coffee table in our community and give it to the hardworking mothers/caregivers! We want our students to pay it forward, develop empathy and express appreciation for their surrounding community and neighborhood that they live in. Spreading kindness with a treat and a coffee pick-me-up is an idea that our students came up with themselves and are SO incredibly excited to be able to do this for their community and neighborhood moms.
We will have the students set up the table with the Starbucks Coffees, Starbucks Refreshers, and Moms in the community can use the Igloo Ice Machine to keep their drinks cold.
The Granola Bars, Rice Krispy Treats and Biscoff Cookies will be a nice treat for busy Moms in the community.
